Division 1 Round 4ao: Alive vs. Go

Sorry Go. You just happen to be up against the best song ever.

I like "Go" a lot better.

Alive was an upper middle song for me for a long time. The combination of the RVM remix (the definitive version as far as I'm concerned) and a few great concert experiences are what propelled Alive to the top of the heap.

And the Alive outro remains my favorite sequence in all of music. Not just pearl jam.

"Go" for sure -- one of the few early songs that still feels visceral and fresh to me. "Alive" feels a bit like a dinosaur at this point -- it has left a deep print, but its moment in my world has passed.

Surprising early lead for "Go", but "Alive" will almost certainly catch up and surpass it

Go already has more votes than the other matchups have combined votes. I smell something fishy.

Man, both of these strike a chord with teenager B. I do love singing "choke the walrus" at the top of my lungs, but I don't know if that measures up to screaming Alive.

not that surprising anymore. It certainly makes the hours of time I have to invest in this shit worth it.

Can't you see who is voting for what song? Maybe eliminate votes by accounts under a certain age, or under a set amount of posts.

maybe the admins can. I have neither the access nor expertise nor time to figure that out.

And I like the idea of the MM tournament acting as a gateway for new posters. The hope is that people make an account to vote and then stick around. So I don't want a minimum threshold of posts for someone to vote.

I've never seen anything in the Control Panel that led me to think I could see who voted in a poll.

I like Go significantly more than Alive.

I voted for Alive, but listening to Go I think I havent given this one enough credit. Always liked the song, but man is it fucking great. These guys were so good.
