Division 4 Round 4bb: Mind Your Manners vs. Life Wasted

I hate voting against Mind Your Manners, which I played to death the summer it came out. But LW is top 10, and MYM just misses it. I love the passion in Eddie's voice (especially following Binaural and Riot Act where it was squashed out or non-existent, respectively), the huge riff and the way it feels like it's going to fall apart (especially in the beginning), and that monster solo. Mind Your Manners has the better chorus, but that's not enough.


Fun fact. I'd vote for either of these songs against everything from round 3 except DTE (though only Faithfull would be easy)

Life Wasted. Why are either still in this thing?

I actually like both of these songs to a degree but Life Wasted is definitely the better of the two.

MYM. I don't feel strongly either way, but I feel ... I don't know how I feel.

How such a sh*tty song like MYM has made it this far does not portray the people of RM very well...

I like the Lightning Bolt album. I know I'm in the minority with that, but its true and it doesn't bother me to have a different perspective and appreciation than most. MYM is middle of the road for the album. I enjoy it when it comes on, i don't often skip to the next track. Life Wasted is just a boring song to me. I haven't wanted to hear it since S/T was just weeks old, and if I never heard it again I wouldn't miss it.

MYM all day, every day. I don't even need to think about it. How Life Wasted (I song I like well enough but have never loved) is still in this is beyond me. I'm not sure I've voted for it in any of its previous match ups and I won't be voting for it here.

That makes it sound like I really hate LW. I really don't.

I enjoy Life Wasted quite a bit. Quite a bit more than I enjoy MYM. The chorus isn't the best but there's a lot of other things to enjoy here. The bridge for example.

I actually like both of these songs. I never got the hate for LW. I mean, yeah, it's not PJ's best by a long shot, but I don't think it's horrible either. Solid middle of the road rocker, and pretty non-offensive to my ears.

MYM is probably one of my favorites on LB, but in general, I don't really care for that album. I think MYM has a slight advantage over LW, but I can be persuaded to change my vote.
