Also, I don't have a chromebook.

I don't have a good internet connection in my dining room, which makes the thing nearly inoperable, but other than that I like it.

My 2 little siblings have Chromebooks. I haven't really dived into the features but my impression is that they're basically only good for light internet surfing / video streaming. What do you like about them, Burt?

That's basically what its for, but I can get some work done on it if I need to. I bought a new Toshiba one (seems to be one of the higher end models) and it runs great. I thought I could work on a tablet if I needed to, but it's such an awkward experience its useless to me. This fits that niche better at a fraction of the price.
Plus I already have a google phone and tablet, so the integration with that helps. Using Google Docs and the cloud stuff makes things easier. But it doesn't use Android apps, which is weird.

I have a magical ability to find apartments that are black holes for cell and wifi signals. Plus my modem is in my bedroom and the signal doesn't reach very far. Maybe the walls are lined with lead.

I though maybe your dining room was an Apple affiliate.

It doesn't cost five times more than it should.

A WiFi extender may help. I think it's really important to be able to stream porn in the dining room.

We have one of these at work. It's pretty stellar. IPS panel. Folds nicely into a tablet. Pretty sure I'm gonna buy one for myself.

Holy shit! I played with a Pixel today. The display destroys the Retina on my MBP. And the build quality is unreal.
I kinda want one now, but it's hard for me to justify spending a grand on a Chromebook.

Gaining access to the Android Play Store has turned my Chromebooks into legitimate daily drivers.
Office Apps, Lightroom, Snapseed, Skype, shitloads of games... there's not much left to leave you wanting Windows or MacOS.
