get the kobe burger at rockit bar and grill on hubbard. when else are you going to pay $20 for a burger unless it's on the company dime?CopperTom wrote:I'm staying near the Loop. Any. Any. Casual. unless you're into prostitutes, do not go to Gibson's -- it's an overrated chain.CopperTom wrote:Here or Gibson's?Chris_H_2 wrote:Go to Chicago Cut for steak
I didn't know it was a chain. I've seen it in The League.Chris_H_2 wrote:unless you're into prostitutes, do not go to Gibson's -- it's an overrated chain.CopperTom wrote:Here or Gibson's?Chris_H_2 wrote:Go to Chicago Cut for steak
my friend mike sheerin was one of the main chefs at blackbird. he opened a trendy place north of the city called the trencherman, and just opened a gig in the west loop called embeya (which is "progressive Asian" (like buggy)).doug rr wrote:I havent been to chicago in about 8-10 years but I remember eating at Blackbird and it was quite good...Charlie Trotters was great too but its closed now I think
it's not a huge chain, but i think they have like 3 or 4 locations. every time i've eaten there, i've had an overpriced, usually over cooked, steak (plus, i don't like where they source their steaks from). the one downtown is in what's called "the viagra triangle." lots of suits looking for "high-end" hookers.CopperTom wrote:I didn't know it was a chain. Does Progressive Asian = Asian Fusion?Chris_H_2 wrote:my friend mike sheerin was one of the main chefs at blackbird. he opened a trendy place north of the city called the trencherman, and just opened a gig in the west loop called embeya (which is "progressive Asian" (like buggy)).doug rr wrote:I havent been to chicago in about 8-10 years but I remember eating at Blackbird and it was quite good...Charlie Trotters was great too but its closed now I think
