Legendary blues guitarist, singer and songwriter BB King has died aged 89.
He died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Las Vegas.

We were from the same area of Mississippi. My mom went to high school like 3 minutes from his house. Lost a legend, both locally and for the entire world.

In 2000 a few friends and I went down to see Pearl Jam in Virginia Beach. Came back home. That night, Widespread Panic was playing around the area. One of the guys was up for another concert so we split to go see him and he brought up BB King and an interview where someone asked him if he'd ever stop touring. My friend said King's response was that he'd stop touring 10 years after he was dead.
