yeah most guys on various task forces I was on did, but I never got into it. When I got into Land Surveying a lot of guys did in that profession too.
When I was 6 or 7 (tobacco was still in aisles in the grocery store back then) I stole a bag of chew. I took it home and tried it with my neighborhood friend. I swallowed some and it made me sick. His parents found out about it (he ratted us out) and they told us that it was God punishing us for stealing. I never tried it again after that.

I bought some Skoal in 1990... I was 13. I accidentally swallowed it, and ended up puking throughout the broadcast of Nolan Ryan's 6th no-hitter...

in baseball in high school, we used to take red man and wrap orange or grape bubble yum around it, and chew on it non-stop.
my first time chewing kodiak was when i was a sophomore. i was playing first base, took a short hop off the forehead because i was so buzzed, and didn't realize that you could see the seams from the ball on my head. i was nauseated for hours.
