Who had Conrad Bain as the first celebrity death of 2013?



I never knew until recently he co-starred on Maude too.

Who knew Conrad Bain was a celebrity?

I know, kind of a stretch but he's the first death of the year I can say "I remember him".
I know death pools are kinda passe now but any guesses on the first notable celebrity to die this year? I think Whitney was the first last year and that was not until Feb.

Yup. In fact, just yesterday, "Dear Abby" also died.

I saw that; I could have sworn the original Dear Abby died a while back. I knew Ann Landers had died too so I wasn't getting them mixed up.

I really need to watch The Wire.

You absolutely do.

Trouble is, the most efficient way to do that would probably be to upgrade to the 3 dvd at a time plan on Netflix and reserve that third queue slot exclusively for The Wire, and I just don't want to spend the money. I may crunch the numbers and see if the time and money spent watching it that way would be less than the cost of the used DVDs on Amazon.

I realize that I can also stream them, but, you know, shoddy internet.
