Good to see more material surfacing, particularly where Mike Johnson is concerned. I'd love to see another record from Lanegan with heavy contributions from Johnson. Their voices together would be all kinds of .
Thanks for posting, kreng!

Halcyon days was one of my favorite songs on his outtakes album. Looking forward to this, as its smack in the middle of his prime (though grey goes black did nothing for me)

Yeah Grey Goes Black was a throw away for me. The rest sounds very promising, though. I hope this spurs him to do something new with Mike Johnson again (he plays on every song evidently).

This baby comes out in a few days, although apparently already out in certain countries--I'm hoping it finds its way to the internetz soon....
How is it? My computer is down and I haven't been able to get it yet

I haven't heard the album yet (only the No Cross song), don't think it's "out there" yet, but it's available on iTunes and shit tomorrow so I'll probably wait till then. I like what I've heard so far though from the samples, sounds like classic Lanegan/Mike Johnson to me

Going through now. When it's in you is terrific. He also really loved that music in mirrored. It's the bones of 3 different songs

I second the Johnson idea. I've got a couple of Mike Johnson's solo records and they're very much in the style of the first 2 Lanegan solo albums. His voice isn't as good as Lanegan's obviously but those records are great for that kind of mood if you want to mix it up from Lanegans stuff.

Agree. Out of the dozens of people Lanegan's worked with over the years, nothing seems to top his chemistry with Mike Johnson. Can't believe these were only demos, too, all of which recorded in about a week's time.
