I am now that I know Lin is making it. He's kind of the perfect choice for this. Also, no more Orci and Kurtzman!

I dunno who the new director is but I'm excited they're continuing with the series.

He directed Fast & Furious 3-6. Also Better Luck Tomorrow, which is an underrated gem.

Simon Pegg didn't like the Star Trek: Beyond trailer either.

“It was very action-packed,” Pegg said of the trailer while speaking to Hey U Guys on Wednesday. “It was surprising. I find it to be kind of the marketing people saying, ‘Everybody come and see this film, it’s full of action and fun,’ when there’s a lot more to it than that.”

Super bad idea putting the trailer for this before Force awakens.

But it's great for encouraging people to see this piece of shit for what it really is.

I'm still pretty excited for this, regardless. I'm going to trust that first trailer was a poor representation of what the final product will be. Plus Chris Pine AND Idris Elba? :heartbeat:
