Doolittle might be the 2nd best album of the 1990s...I know it's my second favorite of the decade at least.

Man that album went apeshit on RM2 circa 2004. I still haven't listened to it. Heh.

I wasn't born yet in 2004. Aeroplane can seem pretty pretentious, but it's quite heartfelt; each song is running on about 3 different metaphors concurrently...I fucking love it.

Except that it came out in 1989.

Good for her, I guess.

It's not as though the Pixies were really doing much.

Yeah, that was my thought. Fuck, I'd love to see these guys. Reunion in 2 years or so hopefully.

Hey, guess I wrong about the lack of activity: turns out these guys have a completed new record "in the can" (as they say in the record biz) and Kim was the one holding things up by not wanting to commit to touring behind new songs, etc.

So I guess Charles, Joey and David are pressing ahead now regardless?

I wonder who they'll get to replace her. It'd be terribly difficult to replicate the sensibility she brings to that band.

That song is surprisingly good. The chorus especially. It's hard to believe that's not Kim.

I can't help but think the claim that it isn't Kim is some kind of in-joke.
