Between how terrible This is 40 was and the massive amount of Amy Schumer fatigue I'm feeling, I am not looking forward to this.

She has? Since when? Just curious. I haven't seen anything to make me think she is on that bullshit PC boat.
What is your responsibility/value system as a storyteller? I really want to understand yr thinking
fascist and unsettling
I wasn't referring to that.theplatypus wrote:What is your responsibility/value system as a storyteller? I really want to understand yr thinkingfascist and unsettling
Not sure how that equates to Amy Schumer being a PC comedian now.LoathedVermin72 wrote:http://www.upworthy.com/read-amy-schume ... -years-agojwfocker wrote:LoathedVermin72 wrote:She has embraced political correctness with reckless abandon, which I find super off-putting. It's ruined her comedy.

The PC bias in that article's writing is insufferable, too.
I feel like all that comes through in her sketches and comments now is agenda, which is not something I'm interested in.
That's just one small example (comedians apologizing for jokes almost always rubs me the wrong way). But it's a larger issue with the attitude in her work now. I just feel like everything she does is haranguing about things I already understand or agree with, which I find very boring and unchallenging. I mean, I'm glad she's out there scoring points for feminism and everything, but I don't think there's anything insightful or interesting about how she's doing it. I'm already on the team, you know? It comes across as agenda over quality. The line between pandering harangue and illustrative insight is a tricky one, and I will add that the latter is often un-PC.jwfocker wrote:Not sure how that equates to Amy Schumer being a PC comedian now.LoathedVermin72 wrote:http://www.upworthy.com/read-amy-schume ... -years-agojwfocker wrote:LoathedVermin72 wrote:She has embraced political correctness with reckless abandon, which I find super off-putting.
