I thought we were coming up on the limit of bitcoin as far as transaction time goes. Due to constraints within the blockchain or whatever it's called, it can only handle x transactions per minute, which limits the number of users. I'm sure the platypus has a better handle on this.

These will probably be useless when those big natural disasters roll in, eh?

Except every other day whatever place is responsible for holding/issuing these things gets hacked and loses a few million worth.

There is a finite amount of Bitcoins...and more and more businesses are starting to accept them. And, on the consumer front, as more individuals try to get their hands on bitcoins, the value increases....
