I recall seeing the cover of the book and thinking it was funny. This isn't what I expected. I thought it would be a black comedy in the Austen formula not whatever that was.

Isn't there like a series of these out there? I remember an Android Kerenina, which legitimately made me laugh, but the joke concepts (as with Abraham Lincoln Vanpire Hunter) seem basically single-picture-meme funny.

The book is just Pride and Prejudice with about one sentence per page that adds zombies. Somehow these few lines still manage to be so horribly written that I was mostly only interested in the Pride and Prejudice parts.

The book was just ok. A movie? Its arriving 4 years late or more.

So am I. Trailer is way beyond what I expected. I'm sold.

First of all, the initial reaser trailer that played in the US was more along the lines of that British one. Do they actually think a one-minute teaser is the only trailer Britain got? I guarantee there were more.

Secondly, the full trailer is about a bajillion times more interesting than the jokey teaser, and actually clarifies some or the levels of satire if you're paying attention.

And finally, they sure seem to be confident about what this movie's true tone and intention are despite the fact that they haven't fucking seen it yet. And they make all kinds of smug judgments sight unseen from the trailer.

God I hate shit like this. Fuck those people. Garbage like this is why film culture sucks right now.

They even reduced an accomplished character actor like Charles Dance to just some guy from Game of Thrones. That's just solipsistic ignorance. Ugh. They have no idea what they're talking about, but they sure are confident that they know it all.
