At What Quality Do You Listen to Music?

Apologies if this is a repeat thread. I noticed everyone getting all excited about PJ shows being released in FLAC, which got me wondering: Do most of you guys listen to most/all of your music in FLAC form? Seems like that would eat up a shitload of space. If not, what quality do you usually listen to?
And, obviously, I am only talking about when you listen to music files, not vinyl or CD.

I only listen to lossless, yes - I primarily use ALAC which is Apple's lossless audio format.

How much space does the average album eat up at that rate?

Depends on the length of the album obviously but I'd say around 300-400 MB.
I have everything on a couple of TB hard drives, storage isn't the hassle it once was.

320kbps mostly. I can't tell the difference anyway. Even if I could I think for me the difference would be so miniscule that I still wouldn't care.

Yeah, it's typically 256-320 for me. I still do most of my listening via a 160gb iPod, so lossless would be a huge hassle.
How do you lossless people transport your music for mobile listening?

Me too, actually - I just don't carry everything with me at once.

Ah, interesting. I like to have it all at my fingertips. But I've been out of space for a while, so it won't be long before I gotta start making some decisions.

I love my iPod Classic so much. I don't know what I will do when I it breaks. Using a smart phone sounds annoying.

I edited the post above but I may as well put it here instead - just looked, I currently have 5613 songs and 464 albums loaded (with 1.5 GB free space). Still plenty of stuff.
I change things in and out daily.

I got my Classic repaired a few months back, the headphone jack gave out. Still going strong.

Yes, I am dreading this as well.

My phone's default player can't play FLAC, so mobile listening is one of the biggest reasons why I don't really have lossless files, space too, kinda.
320 kbps is perfect for me (many of my files have lower quality too, actually), I don't think I can tell the difference (I don't have particularly good headphones either, anyways).

Stream at 320. I have some hard files in Flac and Wav but generally speaking a lot of my music listening is while driving, skiing, running, etc....and 320 is enough. At home ill spin vinyl. or again the 320 through my home stereo.

I have 320s on my phone for mobile listening (yard work, disc golf, or if I need some tunes in a crunch). But everything else is lossless. I burn CDs for the car.

Most of my music listening is done at home or in the car so the phone stuff doesn't get used super often.

I mostly listen to V0 MP3s on the go; the sound quality between that and 320 tends to be negligible, and the space savings do add up over time.

Do you miss listening to Hendrix or Nirvana, Burt?
