TV: Girls

Post by daft twat »

I loved the first season of this show. In fact, I rewatched it around Christmas just to make sure, and I liked it even more the second time around.

That said, 2 episodes in and season 2 is a turd. The conversation Hannah had with her black boyfriend was so stupid I don't think I will ever be able to give a shit about her character again. Adam went from funny and standoffish to creepy and pathetic. And Marne's chest covering fall onto the couch made it clear we're never going to see her tits. Goddammit, it's going to be hard to stick with this show all season.

Yeah, I liked season 1 too. I kinda see your point though, I was excited to see that Donald Glover would be in this season but his character hasn't had much to do, though I did like his breakup scene with Hannah. And after her "sex" scene with Elijah it became pretty obvious that Marnie is not going to show full boob. But I still like the show. The last episode flew by, which is a pretty good indicator of if I'm digging something or not.
I can't relate to the main characters but I definitely know their type.

Oh, man. I loved season one and I'm loving the hell out of season two so far. The second episode was belly busting funny. I could hardly control myself. Hannah and Adam's final scene w/ the cops in the stairway is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long, long time.

This show is on point. I love it.

Adam's turning into a type A creeper so far this season but every scene he's been in he's aced it. The last five minutes of the last episode was gold.

He's a creep, yeah. But for some reason I feel a lot of sympathy for him this season. Maybe I'm losing my mind. But I feel really badly for the guy.

She's still naked. But now she's banging a different a guy - a republican. Except not anymore. The weird guy has a broken leg and keeps getting weirder. But in funny, unexpected and interesting ways.

not banging him anymore or he's not a republican anymore? I'm going to rely on you to write reviews weekly

He's still a republican. But the end of the second episode leads us to believe they won't be banging anymore. But if I know Hannah, and I think WE ALL know Hannah, that probably won't last.

$15.

I really think the last few episodes of the first season and this season so far justify the praise this show has been getting. The conversation between Hannah and Donald Glover's character in the last episode was very well written.

I believe it is worth it for the HBO Go and On Demand Access. It has allowed me to watch the Wire, Band of Brothers, and episodes of Curb.

i hear that the always naked chick wouldn't be friends with the others in real life because they are of different levels of attractiveness. i can't have this in my dramas. my comedys maybe, but not my dramas.

And you get Game of Thrones. Honestly, $15 a month for GoT, Girls and all the HBO Go you can handle? Worth it.

I didn't mention Thrones because we usually have watch party at a friend's house for it.
