Brotherhood of Electric: A Wellwater Conspiracy thread

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

Brotherhood of Electric: A Wellwater Conspiracy thread

Post by E.H. Ruddock »

Surprised we don't have a thread for this great band. Been listening to them a lot lately. In this thread we can talk all things WWC, or you can just listen to me ramble on about how much I like them.

I always liked the Letterman performance:

Man, I do not listen to these guys enough. I have 'Scrolls' (which I really like) but that's it. I need to dive deeper.

Was it you, Ruddo, who said they're your favorite PJ side-project? I haven't listened in-depth to any of those bands, but I have heard two of WWC's albums, and I have to agree; they are the most interesting. I think they've got some pretty neat songwriting going on in The Scroll and many of their instrumental space music tracks I've heard are also quite good.

Yes, by far they are my favorite side project. I wish they would do more. Really great songwriting.

Joey, all the albums are good. But check out their self-titled album. Some funky stuff going on in that one.

I love Sea Miner from that record.

I have "Scroll" and S/T. All Cameron all the time -- what's not to like?

Brotherhood of the electric might be my favorite from them. Its fuckin amazing...not only Josh Homme shines, but Cameron´s playing there is astonishing.

i got the self titled vinyl as a secret santa gift this last year and was pretty stoked about that - for whatever reason it was the only record of theirs i hadn't picked up yet. when i saw the tracklist i didn't put 2 + 2 together that 'something in the air' was a cover of the thunderclap newman song, so that was a nice surprise.

i like wwc. for pj side projects, i *might* like rndm more, it's a tough call.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

Matt is easily the best songwriter in Pearl Jam. The proof is in the fact that most of their dumb "bro" fans can't understand his songs at all and won't even tolerate listening to them.
