Eddie needs to stay as far from spoken word as possible. His speaking voice lacks either the gravitas or flow to make it compelling.
The music in rats is clever, and a side of them I wish they'd explore more (those days may have left with Dave A), but it no longer feels like a must listen.
Despite the subject matter and the immaturity in the song Why Go is still utterly ferocious, and hits just as hard as it did 25 years ago.
Why Go.

Two songs that are low points on their respective albums and a song that I can't remember anything about except that it is a spoken word track.
I suppose "Why Go" gets my vote. The backing vocals were the deciding factor.

I'm back! As much as I love Why Go, right now, I'm enjoying the funkiness of Rats more.

I haven't listened to much spoken word stuff at all, but I tend to enjoy the PJ/Ed ones more than most people do. I even like I'm Open quite a bit.
