This is tough. Dismissing Thin Air is easy enough. The music is pretty but the overall song bounces a bit too much between schmaltz and something that's trying to add extra layers that are A: not necessary and B: undermine, rather than enhance, the song's identity. Just Breathe is my preferred version of this sentiment.

All Night, like BRY, deserves to have been on No Code, though I like BRY a bit more. Still, this song is raucous good time. I would have liked to see them try this one during the Backspacer sessions had Lost Dogs not already come out. It would have fit well.


Even though it's a cover, Last kiss is a great cover, and it's a genuinely unaffected and moving performance. This song used to make me tear up, and in its weird way makes grief seem enviable--like your life is incomplete without this kind of over the top melodrama.

Gonna vote for Last kiss.

This is a tougher one. Thin Air is a really nice place to reside but all I can think of is PJ kicking ass and taking names with the Roots on All Night so, All Night.

Thin Air is a fantastic little ditty.

That's all well and good, but I can't help noticing that no one else is voting for Last Kiss.

I actually really like "Last Kiss", but those two other songs are better.

Yeah, All Night and Thin Air are fantastic. Last Kiss is just "stip good".

Take Thin Air out of this match and I'd vote for Last Kiss easily.

All of these songs are pretty good and I enjoy them almost equally. Thin Air I guess.

I hate Last Kiss. It is definitely bottom 5 PJ in my book. It might be bottom 1.

Man, Thin Air is such a touching, odd little song heightened by Blake's production. All Night is a fun novelty, but I don't love it as much as everyone else seems to. The best thing I can say about Last Kiss is that it gave a lot of money to Kosovo refugees.

Last Kiss is still one of my favorite PJ covers. But, as I've said before, covers don't count in this tournament as far as I'm concerned. So this is really just a match up between All Night and Thin Air. Both are lovely and have their strengths. But Thin Air gets the vote. I played it at my wedding after all!
