I've come around on Around the Bend over the year thanks to some championing by people like Kevin Davis and McParadigm and a few others. It's hardly a favorite, but it's easier for me to recognize its gentle unsettled beauty. Supersonic is a mankind retread with a cool bridge, and the only song on Backspacer I don't like.

Force of Nature is probably my favorite song off the last two albums. After that wobbly start it's just terrific. Great lyrics, an impassioned performance by Eddie, that wonderful outro 'pattern', and there's a lot more happening in the music than people realize. Definitely a song where you pick up a lot of stuff through headphones.

Always been a big fan of Around the Bend, so this is easy. Force of Nature is a solid, 3-star song, that's it.

Around the Bend, though I'm not as enamored with the song as many are.

I am enamored enough for both of us, digs. Easy vote for me here.

Yeah, it's an easy vote for me too. But like digs I don't like the song quite as much as others seem to. But it's an easy victory this round, no question.

I have enough love for it for the whole board, Stip included.
