This song is great, Eddie just attacks it with so much fury - I love his snarling "SHE" starting the second verse.

I also want to say I listened to the BOB remix and I dont like it. I dont know why because I cant even tell what exactly is different but to me it sounds a lot worse, like he brought out the wrong things.

The BoB version is flatter. I think I prefer it but it's close. It does have that great little guitar roar coming out of the first verse, though

I think the BOB mix emphasizes the other instruments in the background, when I think the song sounds best highlighting Eddie's vocals. I think highlighting the instruments makes it sound messier. Especially because Eddie sounds so good on this one. It doesn't have the same punch as the original I think

Is this the only Pearl Jam song to mention the Game Boy?

Modern day PJ still does a great job on this song.

I really like both songs but I usually prefer Once both on the album and live. An exception would be the performance of Why Go on the PJ20 album. Those guitars hit so fucking hard. Damn I wish I could’ve seen them play live back then.

Why Go is better than Once IMO both live and on the album. Once is ok, a decent opener for sure, but I've grown tired of it.
