Re: II-17 Porch vs. Breath
Ugh, painful. Breath was a top 10 at one point, but Porch is top 3-4 and not likely to be leaving that spot.

Re: II-17 Porch vs. Breath
I hate the slower Ed intro live. Porch has tired for me. Breath today.

Re: II-17 Porch vs. Breath
Similar to the Go vs All or None matchup, there's no version of Breath that touches Porch at it's Eddie-scaling-the-rafters very best.

Re: II-17 Porch vs. Breath
Porch, simply for its role as a live song. Breath always seems like a really great idea at the start, but Eddie never quite gets to the peak I always expect from listening to the studio version.

Porch. The redux version is great, as is the unplugged version.

I'll go with "Breath." "Porch" rocks, but I think it's the weaker composition.

Re: II-17 Porch vs. Breath
I would agree with you there, but the simplicity of Porch always appealed to me (I think the main riff is only two notes). Also, the redux version really pops as Krusen's drumming shines. So that specific version is what's getting my vote.Kevin Davis wrote:I'll go with "Breath." "Porch" rocks, but I think it's the weaker composition.

I can't stand this mode of voting. Vote for the composition, not particular performances.chuck taylor wrote:Porch, simply for its role as a live song. "Man, song A is better overall but it really sucked during the 2007 tour so I guess I'll vote for song B because it's always been at least decent live".

All sorts of things influence my vote. Not specific performances or years etc but all of those things can't help but inform how I feel about a song in a general sense.cutuphalfdead wrote:Vote for the composition, not particular performances.
