Two top ten songs. Corduory remains their best song, but there's a case to be made for immortality. Should it win I wouldn't shed a single tear.

These two songs...I like them a lot, but they've undoubtedly gone down in my estimation over the years, or at least I could say that the strengths of other songs have become clear and overtaken these two. At some point, Corduroy probably would have been in my top 5; it's not there now, but it's still better than Immortality to me.

This is #peakpearljam.

Corduroy.

Corduroy at its very best is absolutely stellar; at its worst, it's too fast, Matt plays too hard, and everyone else sounds tired.

I can't think of a single version of Immortality that doesn't feel absolutely haunting. It gets my vote based on its lifespan as a supremely effective song.

Tough one. I'll go with Immortality just because I'm sure most will vote Corduroy. Love both though.

The album version of Corduroy is a towering achievement that shouts PEARL JAM. The best of this band is all in there. Arpeggiated buildup, ragged guitar tones, Ed singing forcefully but in control, push/pull dynamics, amazing bridge, anxious but defiant lyrics, exuberant outro... I'm out of adjectives.

Actually this matchup I can't argue. They are both pretty equal to me I just voted Immortality because I'm sure everyone else likes Corduroy.

Corduroy but there are tons of eliminated songs I would've voted for over either of these.
