Even though I like the orchestral side of REM, and they do have a few instrumentals I like (such as the gorgeous adagio), this one always felt like a distraction. Similar to Zither, it's sandwiched right in the middle of a stellar batch of songs, so its kind of in the way.
Oddfellows is a bizarre little song, that feels unsettling in a mildly disturbing small town secrets sort of way. Not something for the regular rotation, but one of Documents minor songs (like fireplace and lightning hopkins) that work really well on the album and take you by surprise when you haven't heard them in a while.
Oddfellows.

I love everything about the instrumental, it fits perfectly into the album.
Oddfellows is okay, Document has many songs that I don't really care for and this is one.

this is definitely a random pairing. if for no other reason than AFTP is my favorite album, I'll take New Orleans

Sorry to say it wasn't nearly as meaningful for me -- you were sloppy and couldn't keep your hands still. Vote for "Oddfellows."

Oddfellows. A great riff grounding the song. I really like the instrumental, but the meat of Oddfellows pushes it over the top.
