A month of saturdays just isn't any good. It doesn't aspire to much, so I can forgive it, but I've only heard it like maybe 5 times. Why go back?

Green Grow the Rushes is a wonderful song that took me far too long to really get into. Some of his best early lyrics

the writing on Fables in general is pretty excellent, with a handful of exceptions

Most REM songs that I "dislike" are songs that I like less than their other stuff, but I still enjoy listening to them. A Month of Saturdays is one that I just never have any interest in at all.

Green Grow the Rushes is great.

"Green Grow the Rushes" is hands down one of my favorite REM songs, and probably my favorite Peter Buck guitar passage (the section bridging the verse and chorus). Easy vote for me.

I will never seek out for it, but I llike A Month of Saturdays. I think that the chorus is really melodic and nice.
It's no Green Grow the Rushes tho, what a wonderful song.
