We Walk is one of those great examples of how REM can insert these playful songs into otherwise serious, mysterious, or atmospheric runs of songs and somehow have them all make sense.

Discoverer is a good chorus and a great riff, but I really don't care for the verses, which feel awkward. Stipe's melody doesn't work with the music, and it's not like these were A+ lyrics that just HAD to get in there.

"Discoverer" is pretty good, but "We Walk" is a hidden gem -- a quirky, almost Vaudevillian bounce tucked away at the end of "Murmur."

It's been too long since I've listened to "Murmur."

I like both of these ones a lot, and I assume I'll be going against the grain in picking Discoverer, but... I don't know what it is about it, but I love it.

There are a handful of tracks on Collapse Into Now that are among my favourite REM songs.

I'm a sucker for that Discoverer riff. Plus, I love Stipe's delivery in this song.

I'm completely fine with We Walk winning this match, and it probably should, but I'm feeling more Discoverer today.
