you was maybe the last song i got into on monster and its probably in my top 3 on that album at this point. such a sexy song. great lyrics. plus it reminds me a bit of binky, a personal favorite.

diminished has pretty goid music but ive never liked the lyrics and in general Stipes performances on Up (the vocals i like the least except for around the sun) are not strong enough to overcome song elements im not crazy about

Diminished easily, what a great song. Every time the "sing along" part comes I get goosebumps

I had to listen to these two -- "Diminished" is cool but this one pretty clearly goes to "You." In my mind those last 3-4 "Monster" tracks all kind of blend together, but when I listen to them I clearly remember each one's words and melody and structure, and each one is uniquely great. I could live inside "Monster"'s big, cavernous guitar sound.

Maybe I should listen to Monster again sometime, I never really pay attention to the last 4 songs other than Let Me In, especially "You". No way I change my vote tho.

I just listened and changed my vote to You.

Diminished should make its way to the finals at least!
