AtS isn't terrible, but it's a chore to listen to. Überlin isn't great, but it is absorbed effortlessly. Easy call.

I love Uberlin, probably because of how effortless it is to listen to (good word choice, Kaius) without feeling dumbed down.
And Around the Sun does feel like a chore--a song you sit through because it sounds like it should be so much better than it is.

"Effortless" is a great word for "Collapse Into Now" in general -- it's at once its greatest strength and biggest weakness. "Uberlin" is one area where that effortlessness fits the song perfectly -- easy vote over "Around the Sun."

I love the way Stipe's voice descends on the repeated lyrics in the chorus
