It centers on a CIA squad, known informally as “the boys,” whose job is to keep watch on the proliferation of superheroes and, if necessary, eliminate some of them. Rogen and Goldberg, who helmed the Preacher pilot, are set to direct.
I'll believe it when I see it. And I'm pretty sure I won't see it.
And it's too late to get Simon Pegg to play the character who is based on Simon Pegg. Though they could cast Rinko Kikuchi as The Female since that's sorta who she played in The Brothers Bloom, albeit a very watered-down version.

I'm going through the series now via the collected omnibuses, and it's typical Ennis stuff. It's interesting at times in how it uses the darker aspects of humanity and ties them up into superhero archtypes. Where Alan Moore was subtle, Ennis is on the nose, which isn't bad. That said, this series will fit Cinemax with its grade B shock and titillation camp production values.
