If that less weird version of Lotus existed it might have won my vote. But it can't quite compete with You Are the Everything, which is simply one of the most lovely songs they ever wrote.

Both songs kick ass, but You Are the Everything is the better one.

Yeah, "You Are the Everything" takes this one pretty effortlessly -- it's going to be one of those songs that ends up being a brick wall for a lot of other great but-not-as-great tunes, I bet.

Saw there wasn't a great copy of the Letterman performance of "Lotus" on YouTube, so I just uploaded a fresh transfer from an eighteen-year-old VHS. This was always my preferred version of this song, and now it's finally going on my iPod.
On repeat for the last hour, so I guess it's getting one last vote from me.
