So it's been confirmed Ben Affleck will star in and direct a standalone Batman film. I think I'm up for that. He believes in the character and was one of the very few positive things about BvS.

He is still making the Justice League films so, its going to be ok.
I love the idea of Affleck directing a Batman movie. Feels like a really fresh move for the character and he is writing it too, which is a better idea than having David Goyer again.

You're assuming incorrectly that he'll still have a job on these films by then.
