I enjoy the song more musically, for starters -- but in general I don't get the same sense of flippant put-down from this that I do from "Mind Your Manners," nor do I think this song comes at you with the same expectation that you either hop on its bandwagon or get out of the way. It's easier for me to hear it as just a piece of work by a writer with whom I have a philosophical difference, especially as it moves into some ambiguity in the later verses that I've never really bothered to unpack, or at least as it relates to the opening lyrics.stip wrote:Both songs I like that I still rank towards the bottom of their respective albums. Vote for New Test Leper despite finding the premise of the song kind of obnoxious (KD, how does this not bother you but Mind Your Manners sets your teeth on edge?)
You're an odd duck, Stipster. Never change.stip wrote:that is true. I especially dislike the lyricsdurdencommatyler wrote:ESPECIALLY THE LYRICSstip wrote:he has said that. It's a nice song. I really dislike the lyrics.
