What exactly happens at the start of that video? The sheer force generated by the students morphing into members of Twisted Sister propulses the teacher out of his shoes and up through the roof and into the upstairs basketball court? That's a little weird, isn't it?

What do I care if music is "relevant" or not? Relevant to who? Millennials? Greater society? bleh. who cares? I can understand if music sounds stale or dishonest, but I would hate it if my interest in music was reliant on relevance to some broad or vaguely defined group. Just STFU and sing.
I can listen to long dead musicians play long "irrelevant" music and not mind at all. Or I can listen to the latest EDM digital beeps and bloops. Doesn't matter. I am drowning in decades upon decades of music to explore, and I'll never get through it all in the few decades I have left. It's all relevant. Or irrelevant. And anyway Portland is still pumping out a dozen new shitty stoner rock bands every week, so it's not like I'm in danger of the rock well running dry.
