Great potential here with Bryan Fuller (Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies :heartbeat: , Hannibal) and Neil Gaiman (Sandman, Stardust, you know the rest...) writing and amazing source material.

I read the novel 15-16 years ago. Loved it. Is this going to be a miniseries?

I've tried to read the book twice. Haven't been able to get through it.

But I am super excited about this series. Especially, since it looks like Gillian Anderson is in.

Me either. But that's why I'm excited for the show. Because I like the ideas in the book.

The book is easily in my top 5. And the casting seems great so far.

I'm reading the book now, and on the whole, enjoy it. I didn't know what to expect, but it's more about Shadow's journey learning about all these gods than the conflict between the gods. The teaser looks great, and appears they'll keep to the journey aspect.

For what it's worth, there are two versions of the book: the originally published version and Gaiman's preferred text which is 12,000 words longer. I can't help but read Wednesday's character in Ian McShane's voice.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

loved the first episode. And there was a great Mark Lanegan cover during the funeral.
