I always imagine Kurt Vile sounding a little bit like Ty Segall. Does he?

You should check out his latest album then, it's not on it but it'd fit right in.

Why don't I just check out the album that the song you posted came from? What's that album called?

It's from an EP and I always find EPs less satisfying because of their length so I figured I'd give you something with more good stuff on it. The EP is called So Outta Reach though.

Let's be honest. I'll probably post something in this thread several months from now along the lines of "I've really been meaning to check this guy out..."

They make me feel like I'm only watching the first minutes of a movie.

I didn't realize that I had the deluxe edition of Smoke Ring For My Halo which includes the tracks from the EP. You should just get that.
"Runner Ups" still destroys me every time.

The appeal is lost on me. I liked constant hitmaker. But shortly after that record came out, I saw him live. He bored the shit out of me. Granted it was solo and mostly acoustic but since then I soured on him.
He's Alright is pretty good.

I remember listening to "Smoke Ring" and feeling underwhelmed by it, but "Wakin on a Pretty Daze" might be my favorite record of the year so far. I probably need to go back and play some catch-up.
This is just one of those songs that hits all the right spots for me:

I'm embarressed to say i've been not looking for new musicfor a while. I saw kurt put out an album this year. How is it?
Kevin Davis you obviously dig it. How are the long songs? I noticed a lot of tracks with very long run times.
