How many studio covers have they done? I count I've Got a Feeling, Sonic Reducer, Crazy Mary, Leaving Here, Gremmie and Love Reign.

Huh. I always assumed it was. Assuming Soldier of Love is a live cut then too.cutuphalfdead wrote:not studioPHATJ wrote:Last Kiss

Soldier of Love is from DC 1998-09-19 (i.e. Vault 4).PHATJ wrote:cutuphalfdead wrote:yeah i'm pretty sure they're both from soundchecks on the 98 tourPHATJ wrote:Huh. I always assumed it was. Assuming Soldier of Love is a live cut then too.cutuphalfdead wrote:not studioPHATJ wrote:Last Kiss
Honestly, I haven't listened to either of those songs since sometime relatively close to their release date. I just assumed they were studio versions because they were on that compilation and Last Kiss got all that radio play.
I named both of these in my opening post.bodysnatcher wrote:Love Reign O'er Me

You bring up a good point. Betterman at least has a large portion of the song that was recorded in a traditional studio.Wendy Carlos's Twin wrote:That's debatable, Chud.cutuphalfdead wrote:not studioPHATJ wrote:Last Kiss
The finished version of "Betterman" is a live recording with the audience mixed out. Is that a live track?
Are all of the albums that Led Zeppelin and Bob Dylan and the Stones and Neil Young recorded by pulling a mobile studio up to an empty theatre or rehearsal space really live albums?

The second half is taken from a live show IIRC. I don't think it was common knowledge until Brendan O Brien confirmed it when the Vs/Vitalogy remasters came out a few years ago.evenslow wrote:watWendy Carlos's Twin wrote:The finished version of "Betterman" is a live recording with the audience mixed out.
