Stip, I was listening to my iPod on shuffle the other day and landed on an album I hadn't listened to in a while. Change, by The Dismemberment Plan. Not sure if you know it-- it's a pretty highly acclaimed album-- but based on your love for REM's Accelerate, I think you'd be into it. Give it a shot.

Shellshag is a pretty good band. Not sure who to give this rec to, so first person to claim it can have it.

I love the Dismemberment Plan, but would not think to recommend them to an REM fan. I do think Stip would really appreciate some of their lyrics, though.
