After their album preview track ‘Pentecostal’ clocked up over 25,000 YouTube hits in little more than two weeks, Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood release the first single to be taken from ‘Black Pudding’ (out 13th May) exclusively for Record Store Day. ‘Cold Molly’ is limited to 300 10” pressings and features additional remixes from Soulsavers (their first in 10 years) and Roman Remains (a new project by talismanic singer Liela Moss and guitarist Toby Butler of the The Duke Spirit), the latter of which includes backing vocals from Liela.

This is a really chill record...very quiet, somehow sounds unfinished but in a good way.

Of course Lanegan is amazing here, and it feels like an old solo record from him.

I can't think of two ML songs in a row that outshine Death Rides A White Horse>Thank You. Fucking incredible.

Thanks much...I'm pretty excited about this one. Any new Lanegan is always good news; he really doesn't swing & miss.
