R2 is still tops in my book. But I'd BB-8 and Chopper are neck and neck for the #2 spot.

K-2SO is the best droid I've seen. I think both C3PO and R2D2 are legendary, and very hard to beat. C3PO can be irritating, sometimes he is meant to be, but other times he is a bit much. Still his importance in Return of the Jedi can not be overstated. He also helped Luke and Owen pick R2D2 in A New Hope.
