But I have no idea who she is or what she did to deserve such an awesome tribute album haha
First article says that all songs were recorded in 2016. So, PJ did spend some time in the studio last year....
She's a Washington state alt-country/folk musician who's pretty popular around here. I have no idea what kind of following she has outside of the state, I'm sure fairly decent though if she's pulling those names for an album. Looking forward to hearing this

It's a really nice, sparse song. But I fear it's the perfect playground for Ed's breathy, reverb'ed wharbling
It will be interesting to hear PJ's take on this song. I'm especially looking forward to hearing how they handle that sparse, almost ambient, intro.
One: I think the lyrics are right up Ed's alley and the things he's been writing lately. Very obvious choice, if it was up to him. Although, I expect that the line "have i lost my way? the path of least resistance is catching up with me again" will be funny to hear Ed sing, considering how much we've roasted them the past few years for coming across as lazy.
Two: oh shit, is that a piano?

Plus there is an "afraid to swim" lyric in there that fits in well with the whole oceans stuff EV likes to sing about.

It will be a monumental accomplishment if the band can make this song interesting.
