Cold Confession and Let it Ride came out like 2 minutes before i got the call to meet my wife at the hospital for the birth of our second child. We were in the hospital for 4-5 days and I BARELY got the song on my ipod before I had to leave. Cold Confession was the standout. Intriguing lyrics, nice music, a great performance from Eddie. and a song that managed to meander along for 6 minutes without ever feeling like it lost its way. I love it.
Santa Cruz is in the same vein as a song like Golden State - the kind that I theoretically want on my holiday single. But not this one. I've never liked it and I'm not sure I have anything redeeming to say about it

I love Cold Confession and I wish PJ would follow this direction for new music.

Cold Confession's best effort was 2015, utilising a bye, and a victory against Love Reign O'er Me to reach R3, where it got knocked out by Army Reserve.

"Santa Cruz" is on the shortlist of dullest-ever PJ originals -- EV's Cat Stevens-James Taylor tendencies at their most trite, and lord can they be trite. Stip's description of "Cold Confession" is right on. Fingers forever crossed for a better-circulating version.
