The MYM solo transcends the song. One of the cooler things Mike has done post 2006.

he uses a lot of his tricks, and it flows so well. Sad's solo is good, but its not a highpoint in the song

The best instrumental section of Sad is just the intro. That's the best part of the song in general, and the times it repeats. When I first heard this song I was really disappointed by such an amazing and intriguing intro becoming a song full of generic repeating chords which sounds like so many songs around this time period. But the more I listen to it I do like it - still think it doesn't live up to the intro.

The solo seems kind of rambling to me.

I HATE Mind your Manners (its not awful necessarily but PJ thinks its like some amazing song that is worth playing on TV and at festivals and at EVERY concert when its not) but the solo is a highlight of it...the solo is pretty good so MYM. I definitely agree that 'the MYM solo transcends the song.'

100% agree.

MYM gets the vote here pretty easily.

May be nostalgia, but I felt like the solo from Sad I had on the demo, before we got the polished version, was better. Either way, MYM wins.

This is one of those where I almost didn't have to listen (though I did, just to confirm), because "the solo in MYM" is a concept I can recall while the part in Sad is a good part of a good song, but not a real stand out within it.
