RIP Chris Cornell 1964 - 2017

Post by Sgt. Crackpot »

Fuck hiatuses, and fuck board rules about thread placement (this one clarified for the idiot), fuck other RIP threads. This thread needs to go here. Don't fucking touch this mods, or I'll delete the board and drone bomb your houses.

(unless this is acutally a cruel hoax, and I'll just go back into my hole)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/news/c ... d-aged-52/

What the fuck? He's 52. He still had many years left in him. Soundgarden was back together and touring, writing another album. He was still cool. His voice was still amazing. Fuck whatever killed him. Didn't he look after himself? How did it happen?

Jesus. Say Hello 2 Heaven, Chris.

NOTE: The mods have discussed this thread and discussions of suicide and depression. We are not going to split off any mental health discussion because we think it's important for friends and fans who may be suffering from pain and depression or may have friends and family suffering to speak openly and not be forced to separate that pain and discussion from a discussion about Cornell. Please be respectful to our Red Mosquito family.

And if needed, the Suicide Hotlines are:
US 1-800-273-8255.
Australia 13 11 14

Same. My first thought was that this was a typical internet death hoax. Then I hoped it was a hoax.

No official announcement has appeared on any of the Chris Cornell or Soundgarden social media sources, so there's still a chance right?

Tragic. Not a hoax, sadly. Too many reputable sources reporting it.

Gutted about this.

same, though i thought it was going to be about a shitty concert. If I had started making a list of artists I would have expected to see an RIP thread for Chris was no where near the top

it was just too weird to me. i had tickets to the show in Detroit last night but i didn't end up going. it was an 89x show...after the shit that went down with the station a couple months ago i'm more and more disinterested in everything them lately. first story on my wall was about Chris posted by 89x.
