Very sad news. An important drummer in metal history. I had the chance to see Maiden do a Burr MS show in Brixton a few years ago. It was great to see the support from his former band mates, and it was great to see Maiden in an intimate venue.
Number of the Beast is a mammoth album and the drumming is top notch.

I went to the first two of the three nights they played. It was the only three gigs they did that year. "A few years ago" is right.
