They are not British. It's a story about a Norwegian detective in Norway, and the movie is filmed on location in Oslo. They are talking English because it's for an international audience.

Really no point in talking with a British accent, unless they want everyone to have a somewhat similar accent so it doesn't distract from the plot.

Americans are so bad with European accents, it doesn't really matter.

They all just sound "European."
