I don't think there's an ego trip going on at all.VinylGuy wrote:what do you think about lena´s ego trip¿?WtOB? wrote:I really enjoyed the first season.

But how is that different to something like Curb Your Enthusiasm or Louie or even Bored to Death (except for the fact the real Jonathan Ames doesn't actually star in that himself)?VinylGuy wrote:i guess i saw it that way because she is the main character, and 80% of the screen time is hanna.
Because those characters are men.WtOB? wrote:But how is that different to something like Curb Your Enthusiasm or Louie or even Bored to Death (except for the fact the real Jonathan Ames doesn't actually star in that himself)?VinylGuy wrote:i guess i saw it that way because she is the main character, and 80% of the screen time is hanna.

well you just gave me more examples of the same thing. And we should add Woody Allen to that list.Monkey_Driven wrote:Because those characters are men.WtOB? wrote:But how is that different to something like Curb Your Enthusiasm or Louie or even Bored to Death (except for the fact the real Jonathan Ames doesn't actually star in that himself)?VinylGuy wrote:i guess i saw it that way because she is the main character, and 80% of the screen time is hanna.
So glad someone else said it. I've been sidestepping it this whole conversation.theplatypus wrote:Nailed it.Monkey_Driven wrote:Because those characters are men.WtOB? wrote:But how is that different to something like Curb Your Enthusiasm or Louie or even Bored to Death (except for the fact the real Jonathan Ames doesn't actually star in that himself)?VinylGuy wrote:i guess i saw it that way because she is the main character, and 80% of the screen time is hanna.
Monkey_Driven wrote:The male characters on this show are just as well written as the female leads. I really enjoyed this week's episode.
It was nice to see Adam in that dinner scene. His character and how the layers get peeled away with each subsequent episodes is one the best things about the show.durdencommatyler wrote:Monkey_Driven wrote:The male characters on this show are just as well written as the female leads. Totally agree about Adam. He's one of my favorite characters. I keep telling my wife how hard I'm going to laugh when Adam ends up being the "hero" of the show.Monkey_Driven wrote:It was nice to see Adam in that dinner scene. Hannah's OCD is another telling layer to her character. I'm not sold on how they are pulling it off but it certainly makes things more interesting with her.
