Earthling is going to be taking up most of my time for a while. But I'll mix this new Spoon album in when I can.
And then I'll attack Big Thief. But jesus 80 mins is a lot.

The Devil & Mister Jones and Feels Alright are the ones I keep going back to (of the 7 new songs), but really, it's all good. As dad has said, the opener is great, too.

I agree with trag there. I haven't heard anything from the new album, but Transference is the only one I don't care for.

This album is frigin great--Wild is a gem. Enjoying this SO much more than EV's latest. This release really snuck up on me; I had forgotten all about it until 2 days ago!

Transference has so many great tracks though. I'm still really partial to Girls Can Tell. Didn't really get into the last few but I'm looking forward to the new one.

Alright, so giving the new record a spin. I see that the first track is a Bill Callahan song. Is it a cover? Obviously y'all love the record but does starting it with a cover change your opinion at all? Is this something Spoon does frequently?

Pretty sure the first track's the only cover. People probably know their discography better than me but I know they've had covers here and there on the records; I don't think it's ever made me consider them in a different way one way or the other.
