Mike's solo blooming out of the main riff is such a tasty trick.
He did something similar on top of the riff of Brain of J.

That bass/guitar combo in the verses has a real RATM vibe to me. I absolutely love it.

Someone who understands music theory better than me could explain why, but I think this and SOF will be the first of the new songs to be drastically drop-tuned live to ensure Ed can actually sing them :(

It’s more the key it’s in than the speed of the song. I’m out of my depth here (someone help me out) but is it ‘head voice’ he’s using here?

I absolutely adore his vocals on SOF but can see it being drastically down-tuned like Who Ever Said was on the last tour :(

Must be aimed at Ten Club's shipping dept, non-responsive, vinyl maybe in Monday. Mike's slaying bridge on this digital copy though makes up the difference.

Both key and song tempo can affect a singer. If the band plays a song faster live than on record it would require the singer to sing at a higher pitch even in the same key. The band may elect to downtune to compensate if they want to rock the shit out of the song and play faster.

Some of this album's best vocal deliveries. Ed's having a blast all of this and I'm fucking here for it.

That crazy animalistic grumble growl rabble rabble sound near the end- is that Ed? I love it, whatever it is. This song fucking slays.

I know it would never happen because of Roskilde, but every time this chorus hits I see a circle pit

If we're thinking of the same thing, I hear it as a maniacal laugh! And I love it! When it came on at the movie listening party it almost scared me.

My eyes got wide and I looked at my wife like "holy shit did you hear that!"

We both loved it.

Great shout, whoever brought up The Cramps.

Chorus reminds me, in parts of "What the Peephole Say" from the new Queens album, specifically the "Tonight's the Night..." bit.

Also, not surprisingly, very Cramps-inspired.
