Fuck Hollywood. John Carney told the truth about his experience with Keira Knightly. Sucks he's been made to apologise.

Publically saying someone sucks is kinda rude, don't you think?

:haha: I don't think I've ever seen all of it.

I hated it and pointed to it as a terrible movie for like 15 years.

Now I love it. (and its still terrible)

I can't stop watching this when it's on. I can't imagine the racial and disability commentary being played for jokes in this movie would fly now. It's really damned good.

I would just be happy if Star Trek were good again, or if something were around to deliver what it used to have.

You guys sound nostalgic.

Yeah it really sucks when people realize they were totally shitty and then decide to be good people and make amends. I hate humanity. Can't we all just throw people under the bus and tear people down without thinking bout he consequences? Thanks Obama!

I saw some people were about to watch or had watched the new Turtles movie in the "currently watching" thread. I thought about saying this over there, but this is a better place for it. I kinda love the Turtles, but I pretty much fucking hate the new Turtles movies.

only time can undo the damage Michael Bay has heaped upon the prestigious tale of turtles who are ninjas.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

To be fair, Bay's versions don't look any more off-book than every other interpretation of the original comic (I maintain that the original film did a fair job of capturing the gritty tone). And all the pizza, cowabunga, etc that was a hallmark of the 80s cartoon was developed with Laird & Hamilton closely involved.

I hate Michael Bay movies, but I think he's perfectly suited to the TMNT franchise. Of course I haven't actually seen either of his two films.
Thats your problem
