I met her father this year and almost wanted to ask about it. Like how you sometimes get the urge to jump in front of an oncoming train?
She talked about it in an interview I read with her really recently. I can't remember what she said though. But I'm a fan. I've enjoyed every performance I've seen of hers (even those without nudity).

See, I think Pearl Jam takes the live victory by a mile. I mean, do we really need to watch Page play guitar with a violin bow for 30 mins? Does Plant really need to screetch aimlessly like a woman climaxing while the band tries to figure out a way to make its way back to the closing chorus? 15 min drum solos?
I have no problem with the appropriate amount of jamming, but they were in a different universe of excess.
I love LZ, but their individual parts were greater than the sum, whereas with Pearl Jam the whole has always been much greater than its parts.

I'd rather hear John Bonham do a 15 minute drum solo than hear Matt attempt one.

Led Zeppelin had great individual parts and were still greater together.
Pearl Jam has a few average parts so it's much easier for the sum to be greater.

I'm having a really shit day. Nothing is going right, but by far the worst thing to happen to me today is this thread. You have made my life worse, and I hate you all.

"Moby Dick" for the first time instead of "Even Flow" for the seventieth.

Yup. This wasn't always the case but it certainly is now.

Yes, I TOO would prefer to see LZ do some things they happen to be good at than Pearl Jam do things they happen to be bad at.
Although I don't want to hear anyone do a drum solo period, so Matt's 3 minute solo may edge out Bonham's 15 minute solo.

I'm pretty happy to hear a great drum solo by a great drummer, but why PJ ever thought Matt was up to the job I'll never know. And that's not even an insult towards Matt; solos are stupidly difficult to engage people with, which is why most people don't try.

There should be some sort of IQ/speed test for people registering to RM for the first time.

Who acts more like an "Eddie," Eddie Murphy or Eddie Vedder?
