Spot on. It's a great reminder of how much depth there is too. Hell, even Daft Twat's playlist has a few that you could listen to.

when i see what hasn't been picked and some of the shit that has, i just hate this fucking place. honestly, everyone here makes fun of the official scientology board, and rightfully so, but the too cool schtick over here has worn really thin. if this is done and these are left, can i have a 17th team? i'll take the ten in bold, and if that lineup loses to half of these teams, you can suck a bag of dicks. fuck me, can you imagine if the band turned around and instead of playing last kiss to the people behind the stage, they played acoustic #1? i'm sure the reaction here would be, "i need this boot! legendary!" and did cold confession really go with a first pick? i mean, i like the song too, but are there really not 16 other songs in the 22 year history of the band that have rooted themselves deeper over time? anyway, carry on with your underground pearl jam picks, cready stompers. or put this in quotes and put me in my place. team daft twat! make it happen, stip. i like backspacer too.
"Too cool" shtick, huh? Because people didn't pick mainstream hits like "I'm Still Here," "Dirty Frank," "Soon Forget," and "Inside Job"? I can definitely understand why this would fill you with "fucking hatred."
Honestly, would "Last Kiss" even have been eligible? Covers required a studio version, and "Last Kiss" was just a soundcheck, huge though it ended up being.
Also bear in mind that some of these may have been left behind because not everyone kept a master list of all PJ's songs handy. I was kind of playing along in my head and it got to the end I hadn't realized that "Just Breathe" and "Evacuation" were still left.

Ole, Just Breathe, Amongst the Waves and Big Wave were all on my radar the entire time. Those are all songs I really love listening to. For a while I thought there was still room for Ole and/or Big Wave on Spenno's team. Ultimately, I think I see why he left them off.
I knew Jorge wasn't going to take it, but I really thought someone would grab Just Breathe. I figured it would go in rounds 9 or 10. People shit on Amongst the Waves, and while I do think it would fit nicely on a lot of these teams, it makes sense that it was sort of forgotten.
The only ones that surprise me are Just Breathe and Evacuation (but only because someone else mentioned it; I'd kinda forgotten about the the thing, honestly). But I'm not heartbroken. Nobody's losing my vote because they didn't take those songs.

Agreed, re: Last Kiss. I had thought about drafting Soldier of Love at one point before deciding it would be ineligible under the rules.

There isn't a track on that leftover list that I'd swap in, nor do I believe that they'd fit on my playlist.

So when we're voting on these things... we don't HAVE to take the playlist into consideration, right? I mean what if I like one group of songs more than the opponent, but maybe the opponent put their songs together to make a "better" playlist? I can disregard the playlist aspect and just vote for what I think is the better group of songs, right? I guess it's stupid to ask this question. Because I'm just gonna do what I want anyway. And I don't have to tell anyone why I'm voting the way I'm voting. Please disregard this post. I figured it out.

yep, and i think the actual group of songs will make most peoples decisions, if you dont like a team then your mind wont be changed by the flow or mood of the playlist, but if you like them equally then the playlist aspect might help break the tie for you

This is how I plan to vote. As I probably won't be around, someone will have to do it for me. You win 10 points for picking anything from Vitalogy, Yield, No Code and Binaural. You lose 10 points for picking anything from s/t and Backspacer (make that -20 points if you picked The Fixer or Life Wasted). VS, RA and Ten get you nothing because come on. Solat gets you +10 points. If you picked one of the +10 points songs within the first 2 rounds you get an additional 2 points per each song. If you didn't pick Man of the Hour you lose 3 points. You get 2 points for each instrumental song you picked. If a song you picked can be described as Neil Young-ish you get 4 more points. If it's Springsteen-esque you lose 6 points. Finally, if you picked obscure shit I haven't even heard like Acoustic #1 or Sunbutt or Be Like Wind then you're a hipster and you have to give away 5 of your total points in exchange of a full bowl of dicks you can eat.

I just picked songs I liked and that had certain connections. I'm not surprised to see any of those songs left.
